The Yellow Aircraft F/A-18A HORNET has over 15 years of development and flying to support its record of achievements, including 1st place 1989 TOPGUN, 1st place 1988 Scale Masters, Most Realistic Jet Flight at the 1987 Tangerine, Best of Show at 1988 Santa Clara Model Exposition, and 1st place 1991 Nationals. The FIRST model in modeling history to win both the prestigious Scale Masters and the challenging invitational TOPGUN. The 1991 Nationals providing the statement, "THIS MODEL IS TRULY A SHOW MAKER AT ANY AIRSHOW OR DURING ANY FLIGHT DEMONSTRATION". The model has recently been completely revamped an is better than ever! One of the largest F-18's on the market today, and most affordable. The recommended powerplants are 2 .82 DF engines or more driving a 5 1/4" fan. A great set-up for the Ramtec ducted fan/OS-91 combination. Can be easily converted to single or twin turbine operation with some strengthening/modification.
